I have presented workshops on the following topics. Workshops vary from 3 hours to full days.
Developing and Design Online Instruction
Good online instruction is based on good instructional design and capitalizes on using the right tools to meet the needs of the students, content, and provider. This hands-on workshop provides examples from research and practice and covers considerations for developing better quality instruction, assessments, and media (including text, graphics, audio, and video).
Facilitating Online Learning
Designed to help online facilitators increase participation and engagement in online interactions.
Instructional Design
Originally developed with my mentor and co-author, Dr. Kathy Cennamo from Virginia Tech, this workshop addresses general concerns related to instructional design that can be applied to many different learning settings.
Universal Design for Learning
Made popular by the Center for Applied Special Technologies (CAST), Universal Design for Learning encourages the use of flexibility in terms of developing learning goals, teaching and learning activities, tools that are used, and the ways that student learning can be demonstrated.
